Eco Tyre Tread Solutions is a commercial tyre retreading company based in Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Our state-of-the-art facility has the most modern and up to date equipment in the country supplied by world leaders in retreading technology, Matteuzzi.
Through recycling used tyre casings and using cutting edge technology we manufacture premium, environmentally friendly retreaded truck tyres. The facility has the capacity to manufacture up to 15,000 tyres per year and all tyres are quality stamped, ensuring that they meet the stringent criteria set out by the European Body of Tyre approval.
Environmentally friendly practices and sustainability are core values of Eco Tyre Tread Solutions. Retreading reduces environmental impact by extending the life of used tyres and thus reduces the number of tyres sent to waste disposal. At Eco Tyre Tread Solutions, we are acutely aware of the importance of environmentally conscious manufacturing in today’s society.
A key objective of our company going forward is to enhance the sustainability of our manufacturing process with the aim of further reducing our carbon footprint. Hence, we are now recruiting for a Project Manager – Sustainable Manufacturing.
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects aimed to improve the overall sustainability of our manufacturing facility.
A successful candidate will ideally have a background in manufacturing and an in-depth understanding of energy efficiency.
We are seeking a motivated, responsible, and proactive individual who can accurately identify issues and generate innovative solutions to any problem.
The project manager will assess current energy use, highlight areas for energy savings and identify ways in which renewable energy could be implemented in the facility.
This role will involve researching renewable technologies in order to establish the most efficient and cost-effective energy solutions.
The project manager will be responsible for all phases of project development including planning, management, procurement, implementation, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, implement and manage sustainability projects. Conduct in-depth feasibility studies. Schedule project timelines, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Research and obtain suitable grants and subsidies relevant to the project. Source and build relationships with potential contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Liaise with suppliers, acquire quotations, and manage tender procedures. Monitor and control budgets. Manage procurement and supplier/contractor milestones to ensure on time delivery of the project. Manage contractor performance and reviews. Quality assurance. Communicate and demonstrate progress to senior management on a regular basis. Conduct project evaluations. Carry out risk assessments. Health and safety duties.
Necessary Skills: Leadership Skills -The ability to manage a team and coordinate tasks to ensure successful completion of projects. Communication Skills - Strong oral and written communication skills to accurately convey information to team members, suppliers, and contractors. Communication skills will also be required to produce presentations and reports. Organisational skills - The ability to effectively plan the use of resources, multitask and prioritise completion of tasks in order to meet deadlines. Negotiation Skills - The ability to effectively negotiate terms with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
Salary: €30,000 - €35000 D.O.E
Essential Criteria Minimum 2.2 Degree in Engineering or a degree in a related area/field. 1 year’s+ relevant experience and proven track record in project management and implementation. A highly motivated fast learner, with a commitment to systematically expanding your knowledge and portfolio of technical skills. Ability to identify issues and problems, generate creative solutions. Ability to take ownership and responsibility for tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
Desirable Criteria Chartered Qualification or project management training/qualification. Experience in sustainable energy projects.
